Our clinic at Cairns was opened last year and has quickly grown. We now have two full time physiotherapists who are also happy to offer remedial massage services upon request.

Aaron was born and raised in Luton, England. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Hertfordshire, graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in BSc Physiotherapy in 2016.

Aaron originally spent 6 months working in neurological rehabilitation before moving into private practice physiotherapy.

Aaron immigrated to Australia in 2017 and spent his first 5 years working in Cairns, before making a move to the Northern Territory and joining our team at the Palmerton clinic.

After a year spent in the Territory he returned to Cairns. Coming on board as a clinic partner and helping to establish Maximise Physiotherapy Cairns!

Aaron has a strong interest in exercise based rehabilitation and applying the science based principals of exercise to his physiotherapy practice.

His particular clinical interests are in:

  • Tendon injuries

  • ACL rupture rehabilitation (both conservative and surgical)

  • The shoulder complex

  • Chronic ankle instability

  • Injury prevention in sport

As part of his role at Maximise, Aaron takes an active role within the local sporting community.He has a great passion for raising injury prevention awareness and health literacy within the local athletic population.

He has delivered a number of educational sessions for local sporting teams and foundations since the clinic was established. Topic have included;

  • The ACL (knee),

  • Ankle sprains,

  • Medial tibial stress syndrome (shin splints)

  • Injury prevention in runners

  • The importance of dynamic warm ups in multi-directional sports

He has also provided pitch side sports coverage for a number of local soccer academies and for Gaelic football.

Outside of work Aaron is a keen sportsperson and sports scientist applying the principals learnt on the job to his sporting endeavours!

Having spent 4 years engaging in natural bodybuilding he has since decided to retrain and restart sprinting with the aim of competing next year.

Outside of physiotherapy and sports Aaron likes to keep himself very busy. His other hobbies include;

  • Walking Nahla his crazy dog

  • Visiting local beaches, waterfalls and the rainforest

  • Learning Japanese

  • Riding motorbikes

  • Video games

  • Computers/Technology

Ben graduated the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (1st class Honours) from CQU in 2019.

Since graduating Ben has worked in private practice and has done a lap of Australia where he first got the chance to work for Maximise in the Palmerston clinic.

Upon finishing the lap Ben returned to the team at the Cairns Clinic.

His professional interests include:

  • Running related injuries

  • Sports injuries

  • Neck and shoulder pain

  • Dry needling

Outside of work Ben enjoys tennis, running and horse riding.
