Kadir
Sungkar

Kadir completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at Monash University in 2019 working in private practice for over 6 years

Kadir began his career in Gippsland, Victoria, working across a broad range of physiotherapy settings within private practice. After three years, he relocated to the Northern Territory, where he has been practising since 2022.

As of 2025, Kadir is undertaking his Master of Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy / High Performance Sport at Australian Catholic University, working toward official Sports Physiotherapist Titling. This advanced training enables him to provide a high level of evidence-based care to athletes and active individuals throughout Darwin.

With a strong passion for sport—particularly basketball—Kadir enjoys working with individuals across a wide spectrum of activities, including ball sports, combat sports, CrossFit, running, dance, acrobatics, and recreational training. His focus is on helping people return to what they love, reduce injury risk, and enhance performance at every level.

Clinical expertise
Kadir has a particular interest in sports-related and workplace injuries. He values understanding the mechanism and story behind each injury and finds it highly rewarding to guide individuals from the acute phase of injury through to a full return to sport or occupation.

While he is happy to treat all injuries, Kadir has a special interest in managing shoulder, knee, and ankle conditions, as these areas often present both complex challenges and strong opportunities for meaningful, long-term improvement.

Outside of Work

Outside of work and study, Kadir spends most of his time with his young family—often chasing after his kids. When time allows, he enjoys playing basketball, watching the NBA, and exploring everything the Northern Territory has to offer.
