Damon
Sala
Damon is originally from regional Victoria and completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at La Trobe University, graduating at the end of 2009.
He spent his early career working at Castlemaine Hospital, where he gained broad experience across a range of physiotherapy clinical rotations.
Seeking a warmer climate and a new challenge, Damon relocated to Darwin in 2013, joining Maximise Physiotherapy Clinic (formerly Palmerston Physiotherapy Clinic). He has been a valued member of the team ever since and, in 2015, completed a postgraduate Master’s degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at The University of Queensland.
Clinical expertise
In late 2019, Damon became a partner in the clinic and continues to play a key role in mentoring the physiotherapy team, helping to ensure the highest standard of care is consistently delivered to clients.
Clinically, Damon has a strong interest in neck pain and dysfunction, as well as headache management. He also enjoys treating knee and shoulder injuries and has extensive experience managing complex low back pain and persistent pain conditions.
Outside of Work
Outside of work, Damon enjoys spending time with his family, particularly his two sons, Max and Eli. He is passionate about staying active through soccer, running, and gym training, and also has a strong interest in travel and photography.
